Our Initiatives

  • Refugee Assistance

There are thousands of refugees that are brought to the United States each year, with many being given basic government assistance and left to their own devices. The Refugee assistance program makes it easier for those who were forced to flee their old homes to land on their feet in their new homes by providing general assistance with finding housing, jobs, academia, and help with other tasks to help them become independent. Our refugee program also includes a mentorship program that connects youth with mentors that grew up in the United States showing them that they too can make a life for themselves here without having to give up their Muslim and cultural identity.

  • Mental Health & Family

One of our newer initiatives, the MH&F division was created to address the increasing need for access to mental health services in our community and to provide a layer of protection for the family unit. Currently our objective is to partner with established institutions to eventually provide counseling and therapy services in every masjid in DFW. We also are developing workshops that will be held monthly as well as family services such as pre-marital counseling, conflict resolution, and more.

  • International Support

The international division started as a passion project in an effort to give back to those who need it most. Our team has done a wide variety of projects in different regions including aid to Gaza through Egypt, water wells to villages facing droughts through our wells of mercy program, and building education centers for orphans in Jordan. The International Division is built on the foundation of gratitude, recognizing the blessings that we have here with a goal of sharing the blessings around the world.

  • Disaster Relief

One of the very first divisions of the Guardians Foundation is our disaster response team. After the damages of hurricane Harvey, the need for an emergency response division was made very apparent as countless people relied on brave volunteers to help them to safety. Since the initial storm, our disaster response team has mobilized on several occasions based on need. Our team responded to other hurricanes and tornadoes that hit the state of Texas, helping with cleanup and debris removal, ‘snowmageddon’, where our team set out to help stalled vehicles and transport stranded Texans without power to shelter, and covid where our team helped keep over 400 vulnerable families fed in a time of calamity. Our team continues to work on being prepared to better serve the lone star state.
